Data mining is a rapidly growing field that has evolved from the disciplines of statistics and artificial intelligence, which focuses on the techniques and skill-sets required to make intelligent use of this accumulating data.READ MORE
This course will examine methods that have emerged from the data mining field and proven to have value in the areas of forecasting, classification, and association. In doing so, this class provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and skill-building with algorithms and technology tools for data mining.
The overarching goal of this course is to provide a foundational understanding of the data mining process, as well as the strengths and limitations of several popular data mining techniques that are used in general. In addition, this course seeks to provide skills in advanced data analysis using computer tools. -
